The Chair of Enterprise Computing attended ECIS 2026 in Milan

The Chair of Enterprise Computing was represented this year at the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) 2026 in Milan. ECIS is one of the leading international conferences in the field of information systems and brings together researchers from around the world to discuss current developments and research findings.
At the conference, Maximilian Nebel presented the paper“Standing on the Shoulders of Paperclips: A Taxonomy of Human-Centered AI Systems,”which was co-authored with Pauline Speckmann, Seyyid Ahmed Ciftci, and Christian Janiesch.
In the paper, the authors develop a taxonomy for the systematic description of human-centered AI systems. The goal is to better structure and make comparable the different characteristics and roles of AI systems in collaboration with humans.
Participation in ECIS also provided a valuable opportunity for professional exchange with researchers from the international information systems community and for discussing current developments in the field of human-AI interaction.
